A pheasant. Not sure if we have a ‘B’ pheasant but our horses are keeping a lookout 🐴
It’s always around this time of year that Mr & Mrs pheasant come to visit. The deer are already about around our paddocks and the foxes, rabbits and squirrels are a constant source of amusement for most of the year.
In the hedgerows, the nesting birds are back in force and our resident buzzards are already starting to soar overhead on warmer days. Soon we hope to hear the cuckoo again and see the swallows building their nests in the stable rafters.
Never a dull moment here on the edge of Chichester Harbour…
