About Emlyn's Coppice - Woodland Glamping
Welcome to Emlyn’s Coppice, our woodland glamping retreat shaped by a love of quiet places, simple comforts and time outdoors. We set out to create a small sanctuary in Flintshire where the woodland does most of the talking and where the coast waits just down the road. Overlooking Talacre and the wide sweep of the North Wales shore, our hillside coppice feels tucked away yet close to everything that matters for an easy escape.
From the beginning, we wanted a place that slows the pace. Paths wind through trees, birds set the morning rhythm and evenings arrive with clear skies more often than not. You can wander beneath the canopy, pause on a sun deck and listen as the woodland settles. When night falls, the stars are the main event. It’s a simple idea, but it never gets old.
We keep things personal and genuine. A warm hello, helpful guidance and space to make the stay your own are at the heart of how we host. Questions are answered quickly, local tips come from lived experience and plans are shaped to suit the way you like to travel. Whether you are celebrating something special or just taking a break, you will find an easy, unhurried way of doing things here.
Location matters. Our site sits within easy reach of Liverpool, Manchester and Chester, so arriving is straightforward and leaving the car behind for a day is often the best choice. You can stroll the dunes at Talacre, follow Offa’s Dyke Path on the Clwydian hills or dip into nearby villages for a pub lunch. Coast and countryside sit side by side, which makes planning adventures simple.
We are proud to be an award-winning, independent glampsite, but what matters most is how it feels when you arrive. The woodland hush. The sense of privacy. The small details that make time away feel effortless. This is a place for early coffees on the deck, slow afternoons with a book and unhurried evenings under the stars.
Each of our pods has its own character, set apart within the trees so you can unwind in peace. You can greet the morning birdsong, share stories by the fire bowl and look up at a sky that still gets properly dark. If you feel like exploring, you can find beaches within minutes, moorland trails across the hills and independent spots to eat and drink nearby.
Our aim is simple: create the kind of stay we would choose ourselves. Thoughtful hosting, a calm setting and the freedom to do as much or as little as you like. Come to rest, to reconnect and to enjoy North Wales at a relaxed pace. We’ll take care of the welcome; you bring the time to make it yours.
